Wow.....this hike bites you in the ass from the first step. The first mile was painful, hell, the staircase before the 1st mile was painful. Kinda like the "800 ft of hell," only in the beginning. Good thing, once that hell was over, the rest of the hike was a dream. Lovely views from both summits....very cool to see where the "casino" was before the fire, and to see the fire tower. Only a few people out, so nice not to have a crowded trail.
After the summits, there were a few "oh great, more elevation" groans, but nothing terrible, at least not as bad as the start, haha!
After the hike, we all went to get food and beer in town....what better way to end a hike?
Once again, I am already think ahead to my next mountain....(and ready for some Tux)
